This has been the case so much so that Nintendo is planning a sequel to implement all of its ideas that it wasn't able to in the game's already-released DLC. While some fans took issue with the game’s questionable weapon durability mechanic – which forced players to spend a tedious amount of time replacing their broken swords in the early hours – others have praised its story and open-world setting. Since its release on the Nintendo Switch back in 2017, The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild has received critical acclaim and record-breaking sales, becoming one of the Switch’s most successful titles.

This can lead to such antics as Red Dead Redemption 2 protagonist Arthur Morgan suddenly gaining Superman-like powers, Resident Evil 3’s fearsome Nemesis being replaced by Shrek, and even Cloud Strife choosing to wear his very stylish dress throughout the entirety of Final Fantasy VII Remake. The internet is filled with funny stories of fans modding their favorite video games, which involves breaking into a title’s programming code and making whatever alterations the player in question desires. Mods can enhance the gaming experience of players in many ways, and one YouTube streamer took this to the next level while playing The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild, resulting in a hilariously off-the-rails adventure.
